10 artworks and 10 questions with Kyle Williams
What’s your favourite scary movie?
My favorite scary movie has to be The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974). It was one of the first horror movies I ever saw as a kid and still to this day gives me goosebumps watching it.
When did you start doing horror art?
I started doing horror art around 7 years ago, it was only until later into my tattoo career before I started doing horror portraits.
What’s your favourite horror artwork you’ve created?
I don’t really have a favorite. I love all horror related pieces I do.
Favourite horror movie sequel?
My favorite horror sequel has to be Child’s Play 2 (1990). Being a massive Child’s Play (1988) fan this movie didn’t disappoint. I absolutely love the original but this movie is so well shot!
Least favourite sequel?
My least favorite horror sequel, funnily enough, has to be The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (1986). With the original being one of my favorite movies of all time, I will never understand why Tobe Hooper took the movie in such a strange direction. I know a lot of people love this movie, but it’s not for me. Chop-Top is cool though!
What film do you think deserves a sequel that never got one?
The movie I really wish they made a sequel for has to be District 9 (2009) (even though it’s more sci-fi than horror)! I was blown away by the movie when it first came out and the film was left on a cliff hanger because there was so much more they could of done with it. It was just incredibly visually!
Favourite horror movie character?
My favorite horror movie character has to be Chatterer from the Hellraiser film series. Not the most popular but I absolutely love the special effects makeup and the whole concept behind the cenobites. They’re just SO damn cool!
Favourite horror movie scene?
One of the best movie scenes has to be the opening of Jaws (1975), purely because I think everybody can agree when they have to go in some kind of open water they think about that scene and getting ripped apart by jaws haha!
Least favourite scene?
One of my least favorite scenes has to be the whole of Wes Craven’s New Nightmare (1994) as that film is just pure garbage and unwatchable!
Favourite chase scene?
One of the best chase scenes has to be in Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) / when the T-1000 is chasing the T-800 with John Connor. It gets me pumped every time I watch that scene!
