With another year of COVID-19 and its variants (Delta, Omicron) starting to make us feel like we’re all part of some unwelcome new horror franchise, actual horror movies continue to provide a wonderful and entertaining distraction from reality.
And while in 2021 there was a renewed opportunity for movie lovers to experience a film for the first time in a theater, doing so from the comfort of one’s home didn’t detract from the rush one gets from discovering a cool horror flick for the first time; which is why for the second consecutive year, we’ve decided that our Top 15 Horror Movies of 2021 will consist of films watched for the first time in 2021, and not strictly ones released in the past year.
