In 1930s Chicago, a lonely Frankenstein’s monster (Christian Bale) seeks out the brilliant scientist Dr. Euphronious (Annette Bening) with a desperate plea: to create a companion for him. Together, they resurrect a murdered woman, giving birth to The Bride (Jessie Buckley). But what follows is a maelstrom of unexpected chaos: murder, possession, a radical cultural uprising, and a fiery romance between two outcasts that threatens to consume them both.
