Last month, we held the 3rd annual Rabbit In Red Awards where fans voted for their favourite horror artist, scream queen, horror hunk and more. Voters were also entered into a prize draw to win a horror prize pack.
Now, with nearly 2,000 votes cast, here are the results…
Horror Artist of the Year
Rafael WOW’d fans all year long with his outstanding poster recreations and concepts for upcoming films like Halloween Kills and Scream 5.
Flashback Film of the Year
This Valentine slasher film may have received a poor RT score (12%), but it’s a fan favourite amongst horror lovers with an iconic cast to boot.
Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995)
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003)
Terror Train (1980)
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (1986)
A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master (1988)
Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood (1988)
Scream Queen of the Year
Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott in Scream (1996)
This was a tight race between original Scream Queen, Jamie Lee Curtis, and protege Neve Campbell. The excitement for Scream 5 and Laurie’s sparse screen time in Halloween 2 may have given Sidney an edge over the competition.
Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode in Halloween 2 (1981)
Samara Weaving as Grace Le Domas in Ready or Not (2019)
*Shoutout to Samara Weaving for her top-notch performance this year in Ready or Not!
Amy Steel as Kit in April Fool’s Day (1986)
Sarah Michelle Gellar as Karen Davis in The Grudge 2 (2006)
Regina Hall as Brenda Meeks in Scary Movie (2000)
Brittany Murphy as Jody Marken in Cherry Falls (2000)
Christina Ricci as Ellie Myers in Cursed (2004)
Horror Hunk of the Year
Jordan Calloway as Matt Monroe in Countdown (2019)
Jordan Calloway’s fanbase went hard (like his abs) on Instagram, securing him the win over fan favourite Skeet Ulrich.
Skeet Ulrich as Billy Loomis in Scream (1996)
Tom McBride as Mark in Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981)
Aldis Hodge as James Lanier in The Invisible Man (2020)
Gianni Paolo as Chaz in Ma (2019)
Lance Henriksen as Ed Harley in Pumpkinhead (1988)
Billy Warlock as Bill Whitney in Society (1989)
Keean Johnson as Mark in We Summon the Darkness (2019)
